Why could they not drive them out? More aptly asked.... Why did You not drive them out? You provided the victory right? Therefore I deduce you allowed the "defeat". Why? You gave them this land. Why this one group of people - the Jebusites? Why were they allowed to not be driven out? There's a lesson. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear and heart to comprehend what it is, Lord.

"And when we pray, God throws surprise parties." ~Mark Batterson. Lord you KNOW me. You made me! You KNOW I ADORE surprises!! Surprise me God! Throw the biggest surprise party ever on my behalf. If I have not because I've asked not..,. I'm asking now!! For five years you have continually reminded me that You have promised me "this land" and that my enemies will be driven out. Without question I personally cannot see a way out or "in". Without question You are the ONLY way something like that could happen!! Surprise me Lord!!
