Ask Anything In My Name

You didn’t choose me, but I chose you. I have appointed you to go, to produce fruit that will last, and to ask the Father in my name to give you whatever you ask for. Love each other. This is what I’m commanding you to do. If you had anything in common with the world, the world would love you as one of its own. But you don’t have anything in common with the world. So they were asking each other, “What does he mean when he says, ‘In a little while’? We don’t understand what he’s talking about.” (John 16:18 GWT)

When that day comes, you won’t ask me any more questions. I can guarantee this truth: If you ask the Father for anything in my name, he will give it to you. So far you haven’t asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive so that you can be completely happy. (John 16:23, 24 GWT)

They asked "what does it mean 'in a little while?'"..... I ask "what does it mean 'in My Name' ?"

WHAT am I missing??? How does Gibeon get the sun to stand still in the sky and Honi make it rain and Elijah make fire come down to burn up his sacrifice?  And I can't even get you to make yourself known to me at 3 in the afternoon?  Lord I KNOW You're real! I KNOW I'm Yours! I TOTALLY trust Your Sivereignty. And sincerely know how to accept that Your ways are higher than mine. I guess I'm saying you know I know how to accept a no answer. But I feel like You want me to know how to pray for a "yes". But I. DONT. GET IT! 💔 Show me what I'm missing and help me to accept it.

I pray to you, O Lord, my rock. Do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you are silent, I might as well give up and die. So Joshua took control of the entire land, just as the Lord had instructed Moses. He gave it to the people of Israel as their special possession, dividing the land among the tribes. So the land finally had rest from war. (Joshua 11:23 NLT)
